Scarlett’s Nursery

So excited to finally share Scarlett’s Nursery! I am so in love with how it came out! It’s such a serene little space, and being in there just gives me this peaceful feeling. The mostly neutral palette with pops of blush and emerald make my heart sing, and the mixture of the wicker textures, geometric…

The Dockatot – A Must Have Item For Baby

One of the questions I see every first time mom ask to all the veteran mamas out there is, “what are the MUST HAVE items for baby?” It’s SO easy to get completely overwhelmed with all the gizmos and gadgets and cute little baby things, and really hard to know what is a want and…

I love it! This is a similar look I am going for, for my sons big boy room! I’d love to know how you made the yarn wall hanging. Maybe you could do a blog post about it! 😀ReplyCancel

Welcome Maverick Anderson

The day was March 16, 2017. I was 39 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I woke up on the couch and glanced at the clock. The time read 5:41am. I was going to be induced later that day. At 3:00pm I was going to be sitting in a hospital bed being administered medications that…

What I Have Packed in My Hospital Bag

So clearly, as a mom of 2, I’ve done the birth thing a couple of times now. Taking a 4 year break from having babies kind of faded my memory of everything you need to do this birthing thing, so I did some “Pinteresting” and surfed the web. I honestly felt like all those “my hospital bag” lists were so excessive. I…

Hair Ties!!! So Much Yes! I love the G&O nursing tanks too. I wear them pretty much every day until my babies are weaned. And you’re going to be ridiculously fabulous walking the hospital halls in that gorgeous robe!ReplyCancel

How exciting! You have a great list of items you’re bringing with you! What about for during the birth? Are you bringing anything with you for that?ReplyCancel

    • Kate LaraineFebruary 23, 2017 - 6:28 pm

My labor’s are usually CRAZY fast, so I won’t be bringing anything in particular for that, but if they were longer I might suggest snacks for hubby and a gown or robe you want to labor/birth in 🙂ReplyCancel

A great list and a 100x yes to the peri bottle and hospital undies. One thing I always loved taking home was the giant water jug they give you. Lol After four kids for me you definitely hit all he important stuff. ReplyCancel

I am very passionate about my life as a mother, and I just want to portray the beauty of motherhood through my words and photos here on my blog. So pour yourself a hot cup of coffee or a big glass of wine, snuggle up under a big cozy blanket and stay awhile.

If you are ever interested in a specific topic that you would like to be seen discussed here, I would love to hear about it. Feel free to message me at any time.

I am also now booking commercial photography and local portrait sessions for the year of 2018.
