Are you guys just as excited as I am for fall? Today, I woke up to it being in the low 70’s, and in Savannah, that’s pretty much as fall-ish as you can get for August.
If you don’t know, I am originally from upstate NY, and if you’ve never experienced fall in NY, you are SERIOUSLY missing out. You know that part in You’ve Got Mail where Joe says,”Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address”. UGH. Just gets me in the feels. I LOVE fall. The chill in the air, the smell of the changing leaves, buying hot drinks to get warm, and of course the fashion! Sweaters, jackets, boots, and scarves, and the colors changing from pastels and brights to deep and moody tones like maroon, navy, greens, and browns…absolute perfection. And make them TINY fall clothes, and I’m basically dead over the cuteness.
I was so excited to work with Janie and Jack for their fall campaign. I’ve always loved their clothes, and the quality is impeccable.
I had amazing plans to take cute pictures of the kids all decked out in their little outfits downtown, but the weather here has been atrocious for the last few weeks, and now all of my kids have been down with colds for the last 3 weeks, so we just had to roll with it and have a little photoshoot inside.
I had a blast styling each kid head to toe. For Kingston, I fell in love with the Varsity Jacket from the Varsity Club Collection. I decided to pair it with classic pieces like these Corduroy Pants and the Wingtip Boots, and the Chambray Shirt from the Ranch Weekend Collection. Even Kingston is in love with this outfit. When I told him it was still a bit too hot to wear to school, he gave me the saddest little puppy lip. This kid knows his style.
For Alivia, I was immediately in love with the Quilted Peplum Vest from the Gallery Muse Collection and then those little Ankle Boots from the Carriage House Collection…yes! We tied the blue and the brown in the vest with the brown Riding Pants and the Suede Trim Top, and accessorized with the adorable purse and matching bows.
She couldn’t wait to wear those little boots again to school, and they look absolutely adorable with her uniform! (I’ll have to post some pics of that some time).
And last, but not least, I styled Maverick in a coordinating outfit to Kingston with the same Corduroy Pants, but in navy, a gray V-Neck Sweater, and OF COURSE those adorable Tortoise Sunglasses.
I’d love to know what you’re dressing your kids in this fall. Head to Janie and Jack and come back here to comment what you’re loving! I can’t wait to hear!
Janie and Jack provided all the clothing in this blog post, but all the opinions and words are my own. I truly love these clothes!
