I’m super excited to finally be sharing with you all a few of my favorite baby products! These are my top favorite items, and I use most of them almost every single day. These are all products I have or would have purchased on my own, and I am not paid or compensated in any way for sharing these, so you can KNOW that I truly just love these products and feel like everyone will love them all like I do.
I’m starting with something we actually DO use everyday, two to three times a day in fact, the Dockatot. I was on the fence for a VERY long time about purchasing one. It seemed like an excessive amount of money to spend on an unnecessary baby item, but let me just tell you…SO WORTH IT! You know how they talk about how vital it is to spend the money on a good quality mattress since you spend at least 6-8 hours of your day on it? Why not use the same principle to a baby’s sleeping arrangements?!
I’m telling you, as soon as I started sleeping him in this badboy, it was a matter of 2 nights before he was completely sleeping through the night! Which is a miracle, because my children are notorious for being not great sleepers as babies.
I love how easily removable the cover is to wash it, and I love how it comes in a plastic carrying case. We’ve taken it with us on two trips now. It was super convenient and great to have that smell of home with him for a better night’s sleep.
Disclaimer: Back is best! Dockatot does not promote the use of this product with belly sleeping, and I am not telling anyone they should sleep their babies on their bellies. With that being said, my kids have all been belly sleepers, and because of the “breathability” of the Dockatot, I rest much more assured that my baby is sleeping safely on his tummy.
It is really just an all around amazing product that is WELL WORTH that chunk of change!
The second must have items are Max and Moose Swaddle Blankets. I stumbled upon this company awhile ago on instagram. They had recently come out with a new line of swaddles when I found out I was pregnant, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. I was instantly in love!!! They are everything a swaddle blanket needs to be…soft, stretchy, large, and the perfect basic colors. The only way to describe them is to compare them to the softest “jersey” bed sheets. I’m always so sad when I have to wash them, and I’m pretty sure I need about 3 in every color. I’m secretly hoping Maverick makes these his “blankies” so I can continue to cuddle him in them forever. The camel color is my favorite!! But you cannot go wrong with any color. They just came out with a “Desert Rose” and “Ocean Mist”, and it’s taking EVERYTHING in me not to order them. I think my daughter needs that Rose one 😉
Next, I want to tell you about my all time favorite bath products!! Tubby Todd Bath Co! If you know me, you know how much I rave about this company. I’ve been using these products for a few years now, and they just keep coming out with bigger (literally) and better products. I get so many questions about what are my favorites and why, and while you absolutely can’t go wrong with any of their products, I’m going to tell you about the basics bundle that has everything you need for baby.
If you only buy one or two things from Tubby Todd, I would say, without a doubt, go for the lavender and rosemary hair and body wash and everyday lotion. The smell alone is enough to make it a great purchase. It’s subtle but sweet. The wash is super soft and moisturizing and a little goes a long way! One small squeeze lathers up enough for my five year olds’ entire body. And the lotion is just amazing! Can a kids’ lotion be called luxurious? Because that’s how I want to describe it! It’s so rich, but not heavy, and just leaves my kiddos’ skin feeling unbelievably soft!
The sweet quince and honeysuckle bubble bath is one of my favorite scents! Makes my entire upstairs smell like summer. I love how bubbly it gets from just a small amount, without having to worry about the chemicals from regular bubbles.
The dream cream is another favorite, and I’m not going to lie, I usually steal this for myself. It is really great for extra dry skin, and since my kids don’t really struggle with that I usually use it on my heels, elbows, or dry hands.
The all-over ointment is what we use for boo-boos…Burns, cuts, diaper rashes, whatever! It’s a little thicker than the everyday lotion, and doesn’t coat the skin like some ointments.
One of my favorite items for the newborn stage is the baby freshening spray. I don’t have a picture of it, because I’m almost out and need to buy more! Maverick is a major hand sucker, especially when he’s sleeping. Sometimes when I get him up in the morning and his hands smell terrible from saliva, I just spray the freshening spray on a paper towel or washcloth and wipe his hands off. It takes the smell away completely, but I don’t have to worry about chemicals on his hands that will end up in his mouth again. It’s also great for cleaning underneath his chubby double chin and neck!
Number 4 is my WildBird Ring Sling. I was gawking over these for years!! When I got pregnant again, it was one of the first things I knew I would be purchasing. They have since come out with a new line of colors and patterns, and I’m obsessed!! Every tone and pattern is SO on point. I love the chambray one that I have! These slings are super hard to come by, but they do a restock every now and then, so go follow them to find out when.
The reason I love the ring sling for a newborn is how secure it feels! Before they gain full head control, it’s so nice to have them so snug as a bug on your chest, while still leaving your hands free.
I also LOVE how easy it is to adjust. You can even nurse in it!!
Hubby loves wearing him in it too, which is a major plus.
The last thing I want to share, though I could go on about more of my favorite things, are these monthly milestone plaques by BlueFoxEngraving. These are seriously even more gorgeous in person and so well made. Ten million times better than any type of sticker or card, like most milestone markers! I love that they can be used for mom’s pregnancy, baby’s milestones, and decor. After we take our monthly pictures, I love to stick them up on his shelf to display them. I also love that they’re double sided so you don’t have to keep track of 12 different things. Let’s face it, we have enough on our plates with a little one to keep track of!
I hope this was helpful to some of you who are trying to weed through all of the amazing baby products out there! I know there are SO many great products out there. If you found something that you literally can’t live these newborn days without, let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for new things to try with my kiddos.
