Scarlett’s Nursery

So excited to finally share Scarlett’s Nursery!

I am so in love with how it came out! It’s such a serene little space, and being in there just gives me this peaceful feeling. The mostly neutral palette with pops of blush and emerald make my heart sing, and the mixture of the wicker textures, geometric shapes, and  gold/brass accents, really balanced the space between modern and organic.

Let’s just talk about this amazing crib that my husband MADE! I couldn’t have imagined it coming together more beautifully, and I absolutely cannot wait to see our girl in it, and be able to pass this piece down to our grand babies. The wood is made of Black Walnut and accented in the paint, (Behr Sleek White) that I also used to paint the dresser, so even though they are not a set, they flow so seamlessly. He even added little brass circles in the top to match the brass knobs of the dresser.

(Forgot to get a photo of that, but it’s STUNNING!)

We also had fun making this mobile together, that is literally just wooden shapes that I bought from Michaels and spray painted gold. I had seen a metal one just like this that was a few hundred bucks, and was so in love, but definitely knew that was a splurge that just wasn’t gonna happen.

Back before I had any type of decorating abilities, I would spend the most money on the crib bedding, because it was the only way I knew how to bring in color and pattern. Now, I grab some throw pillows that are only ever actually in the crib when I take photos, and use a plain white sheet. Why a white sheet? Because, bleach! Babies are gross, guys! The blush and emerald pillows here are from World Market. They have amazing prices on throw pillows!

The sweet wall art was custom made for this room. Lynnie from Luckytobeinlove contacted me and wanted to create something special for Scarlett, and I had told her how much I loved this quote and the idea of a moon. She just so happened to already have this moon, so we added the quote to it and it’s perfect! Make sure to check out her shop for beautiful wall art or to request a custom piece!

I get so many questions on Instagram about this honeycomb piece above the dresser. Sorry to say it was made by my husband and can’t be purchased (unless you’re local to Savannah and want him to make you one). It was actually the backdrop for Maverick’s cake smash photos, and I knew I needed to put it up in the house somewhere after. The dresser is IKEA, and just painted in the Behr Sleek White, which is a really great soft white/almost ivory. I stained the bottom/legs in walnut to tie into the crib and honeycomb piece, and the knobs are from Target.

The rug is from esalerugs, and is sadly no longer available. It was the only one available when I purchased it, but they honestly have amazing rugs, you’re sure to find something fantastic at a great price.

The Ollie Swaddle, Little Poppy Co, Ellia May Designs, Jonah + Marie, Little Sapling Toys  Her rocker is by Baxton Studio. I had bought it last year for Maverick’s nursery, and it has held up so well! It’s very comfortable and easy to keep clean. Would highly recommend it for a nursery or any room in the house honestly! The ottomans are IKEA, just 2 stacked on top of each other. And if you’re like me and wondering if you should attach them together, the answer is: if you don’t, your toddler will take them apart and jump on them, but they hold up really well, so it’s not that big of a deal. I love this side table from West Elm too.

I’m SO obsessed with this shelf from World Market, and sadly I can’t find it on their site any more. BUT I did find another similar option that is the same concept but in the honeycomb shape, so it would kinda give you a mix of the two wall pieces!

I wanted the shelf to be pretty but practical, so while I did put some cute and girly items on it, I’m also using it to store some swaddles and slings!

Tagging a few of the shops pictured here:

Max and Moose, WildBird, Bitte, Promptly Journals,

Prettiest wooden laser cut name from Blue Fox Engraving.

“Flicker” Ring Sling with Silver Rings from Wildbird. I love how it perfectly matches her room!!! (Wish I would’ve waited for the restock to get the gold rings, but the silver rings are still gorgeous!)

Now, if I could just get my hands on the last missing item from this nursery, SCARLETT!! Just one more week!!!!!!!
